Start with what’s underfoot.

Every job begins with the substrate. Pick what you have now and the systems that can go over it light up.

What’s there now?
  • Trowelled microcement surface with soft swirl marks

A seamless 2–3 mm coating for floors, walls and showers, with no grout lines.

    Over
    Tiles, timber, plywood, concrete
    Ready
    Light traffic 24 h · full cure 7 days
  • Polished concrete floor in a room with large windows

The slab itself, mechanically ground and polished to satin or high gloss.

    Over
    Sound concrete slab
    Finish
    Matte, satin or gloss
  • Hands loading a plastering trowel with render

Render and skim-coat overlays for walls and floors, new builds and renovations.

    Over

    Over
    Prepared concrete
    Finish
    Solid, metallic or flake
  • Large-format marble-look porcelain tiles laid across a floor

Large-format porcelain to natural stone, set with flexible adhesives and grouts.

    Wet areas
    Waterproofed to AS 3740
  • Cracked and worn concrete slab before repair

    Damaged concrete
    Use
    Inside and out

Five passes from quote to finished floor.

The finish is only as good as what’s under it, so the work is weighted toward the first two steps.

  1. Assess

On site, obligation-free. We check the substrate for moisture, movement and soundness, and you get a written quote.

  2. Prepare

Grind, repair, level and prime. Self-levelling underlayments and repair mortars fix what would otherwise show through.

  3. Apply

The system goes down in coats: microcement, render, resin or tile, each to its own thickness and timing.

  4. Seal

Polyurethane or epoxy topcoats lock in the finish and resist water and stains.

  5. Cure & hand over

We leave care instructions and the cure timeline for your system.

The cure clock for microcement.

Planning a renovation around the finish? This is how soon you can use the space after the final sealer coat.

  1. 0 h

    Final sealer coat

Keep off the surface; the room stays closed.

  2. 24 h

    Light foot traffic

Socks or clean soft soles. No furniture yet.

  3. 7 days

    Full hardness

Full water resistance. Furniture back in, with felt pads.

  4. 2 weeks

    Back to normal care

Until then avoid pooling water and harsh chemicals.

Microcement or polished concrete?

They look alike in photos and behave very differently. The short answer: it depends on what’s already there.
