Drag across the slab to grind it.
Seamless floors, ground to a finish.
Microcement, polished concrete, render, epoxy and resin, laid by a Bayside crew from substrate to final sealer, across Sydney.
Start with what’s underfoot.
Every job begins with the substrate. Pick what you have now and the systems that can go over it light up.

- Inside and out
Five passes from quote to finished floor.
The finish is only as good as what’s under it, so the work is weighted toward the first two steps.
- Assess
On site, obligation-free. We check the substrate for moisture, movement and soundness, and you get a written quote.
- Prepare
Grind, repair, level and prime. Self-levelling underlayments and repair mortars fix what would otherwise show through.
- Apply
The system goes down in coats: microcement, render, resin or tile, each to its own thickness and timing.
- Seal
Polyurethane or epoxy topcoats lock in the finish and resist water and stains.
- Cure & hand over
We leave care instructions and the cure timeline for your system.

Planning a renovation around the finish? This is how soon you can use the space after the final sealer coat.

Back to normal care
Until then avoid pooling water and harsh chemicals.
Microcement or polished concrete?
They look alike in photos and behave very differently. The short answer: it depends on what’s already there.
| Question | Microcement | Polished concrete |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A thin 2–3 mm cement-based coating, trowelled on by hand | The existing slab, ground and polished by machine |
| Goes over | Tiles, timber, plywood, concrete, walls and showers | A sound concrete slab only |
| Look | Soft trowel movement, wide colour range | Exposed aggregate or cream finish, the slab’s own grey |
| Demolition | Usually none: it bonds to most sound surfaces | Coverings removed to reach the slab |
| Best for | Bathrooms, kitchens, renovations over existing finishes | New slabs, showrooms, cafés, large open floors |
